  Red cherry, under-brush, coffee, blood orange, cloves. Juicy and rounded. Medium plus flavour intensity, medium to medium plus finish. 15% alcohol but well balanced. Very enjoyable to drink now!

  The wine looks purple colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, black currant (cassis) and cranberry. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis), stoniness, oak and cinnamon. The body is full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

  Canalicchio di Sopra Rosso di Montalcino 2021
  カナリッキオ ディ ソープラ ロッソ ディ モンタルチーノ 2021
  憧れの 初 Sopra。
  現行ヴィンテージなのでかなり厳しい対応されるかと思いきや結構飲める状態たっだのは、 Rosso di Montalcino だからか。
  赤系というより黒系果実寄りのグリップ感と鉄分感。甘く香るヴァニラ感、野暮ったくならないくらいの土や皮のニュアンス。そしてミントやハーブの青々しさ。
  当然非常に若々しいのだが、「今開けて飲むなよ」という塩対応というより「本気出すまでちょっと待ってください」という様な寝ぼけているような感じがあり、起きて本領発揮するのは多分翌日だろう。
  寝ぼけているけどそこそこ対応してくたのは、ヴィンテージに依るものなのかこのワインの本質なのかは飲み比べていないので判断できないが、将来に大きな期待が出来る。
  恐らく20年は余裕で熟成できると思われる。
  
  This is the first Sopra that I have been longing for.
  I thought it would be quite harsh because it is the current vintage, but it turned out to be quite drinkable, probably because it is a Rosso di Montalcino.
  It has a grip and ironiness that is more like black fruit than red fruit. It has a sweet vanilla flavor, with earthy and leathery nuances that are not overbearing. And a lushness of mint and herbs.
  Naturally, it is very youthful, but it has a sleepy feel to it, more like a "wait a minute until I get serious" rather than a "don't open it now and drink it" saltiness, and it will probably be the next day before it wakes up and shows its full potential.
  I cannot judge whether it is because of the vintage or the nature of this wine, but I have high expectations for the future.
  It will probably age well for 20 years.

  Quality Rosso: very definitely a wine from Montalcino with a depth and gloss to the saturated cherry fruit, dusty earth and a slight balsamic note. Focused and quite tight at the moment, this has proper structure and I'm sure another couple of years would see this improving.
