Second Sunday Group: 2002 Burgundies (R&D's): Double blind. Aromas of cherry, sawdust and herbs. Bigger and more tannic than the first three wines. Cherry and red plum flavors with spice tones in the finish. With time in the glass the bouquet shows a garrigue element and becomes more black-fruited. Tannic; dark fruit and spice finish. The first in this lineup that makes me think we might have something other than pinot.

Very classic, while quite rich for a chambolle. Plenty of sous bois, plenty of mature strawberries, some spice. Great harmony here, a wee bit roasted on the aftertaste, but nothing serious. A point to drink, IMHO #Kandestederne#H&M#BB

Quite dark in the color for a Chambolle. Powerful nose with more maskuline and dark tones that I expected. But very nice nose - perfect balance between the mixed ripe berries - black-, rasp- and strawberries - and the structure in this wine. Also quite powerful on the palate but again a very nice balance between the sweetness of this wine and the acidity. I liked this very much - super!
