  This wine is a medium+ garnet.
  
  On the nose, it has black cherry, black currant, and raisins.
  
  On the palate, this wine is dry, with medium acids, and high tannins. Flavors of black current, and raisons dominating. The finish is medium, but the tannins overtake with a strong grip.
  
  Decanting did not tame the tannins, and neither did drinking some the next day.
  
  After opening and airing for 20 mins, we drank this wine with a meat lovers pizza, and that tamed the tannins quite a bit, making this wine feel much more balanced, so I would recommend a pairing of something with beef. Meatballs, lasagna with meat sauce, Tuscan style steak, etc..
