Solid red fruits in the nose. On the palate it’s modestly rich but braved by solid acidity. Not a opulent as the 19 this one’s somewhat more austere but still good QPR for under $20

Solid for the price (thanks, Costco!), this big pinot has plenty of dark cherry/strawberry fruit and an intriguing black pepper to paprika spice note that levels out after some air.

Over ripe red fruits - raspberry and red cherry mostly, and an attractive garrigue note on the nose. High intensity of aromas, and you can almost smell the alcohol. An overall feeling of "hot weather" or "California sun" depending on what you choose.
This continues - and increases - on the palate. The fruits are jammy here, and strawberry (jam) is added as well as fresh cracked black pepper, cherry cola and vanilla. Overall a powerful expression of PN. The jamminess is not to my palate for SRH PN but the intensity of both flavors and aromas is too nice to ignore.
Texturally, this is lovely. Medium + body, medium tannin, medium acid. Great structure. I really hope some age mellows out the fruit. It should drink well for 5+ more years. I say, age it for at least two for everything to settle down.
