  • Too lean and acidic.

  • Lesser vintage, little hopes so a very good basic Chianti. Supposed a wine for meat, so great with grilled turbot. At this point, this bottle showed a mature tuscan colour, very clean with watery edges. On the nose, surprisingly a prevailing roasted duck aroma (a defect, if not very heady indeed!!!) Decent on the palate but with a remarkable acidity. I would like to taste the reserve range of this delightful wine.

  • This was a standard Chianti good for its price point. Nothing too complex on the nose and the typical sour cherry palate. Went well with dinner but was over shadowed by a 2005 Queciabella we opened right after we finished this one.

  • Suprisingly light and simple ... leather, red fruits, plum and cedar. Not very complex ... just average.
