  • 100% Roussette (Altesse)

Slightly effervescent, light straw color, slightly mirky (clearly unfiltered)

Nose is soft showing pear, toasted pine cone, fresh mint, white flower.

Palate is again soft. Medium acidity, medium body, dry but round (indicating some residual sugar, despite indicated 13.5% abv). Green melon, rosemary, holy basil, some mineral notes. Finish is clean with some hazelnut and other cocktail nuts.

My first Altesse (I think). It was alright but does not blow minds. Nothing screams special or that I have to seek it out again, which unfortunately true for many of the Savoie wines I tried recently. 88.
