Community Tasting Notes (2)

  • Fantastic floral (citrus blossom) notes on the nose, supported by meyer lemon and kaffir lime. On the palate: very hi-toned, kaffir lime, lemon, wet stone. Slightly short finish.

  • This is my first Gelber Muskateller. Nose is violets, lychee, and a touch of rose water. If you handed this to me blind, I might think Viognier or gewurtztraminer. On the palate, this reminds me of gewurtztraminer with a more floral finish and a less oily body. Good acidity. Nice dose of minerals. Body is a bit thin but I wouldn’t want anything different. This would an awesome summer wine to accompany light Asian food. I’m a fan. Day two wasn’t quite as delightful as the delicate fruits and flower elements retreated.
