Bought in Grand Case (St Martin and brought back to the states). Enjoyable Bordeaux, not top of the line, but good for the price and drinkable now - although recommend breath and decant for at least an hour, not a pop and pour. This is 60% Merlot and the fruit from that predominates. Notes of graphite and licorice. Clearly not a young wine, a DRINK NOW although this is past peak and is beginning to taste like past peak.

- Garnet color with medium forming legs - Needs to aerate for awhile, but overall an enjoyable Graves production (for the price). Recommend drinking now or 2 years, but either needs at least 45 minutes of air. Cheers.

(Chateau de Callac Graves Rouge) #3; COLOR-dark; NOSE-the Skittle Rainbow exploding on the nose; walking the Old World/New World line perfectly; beautiful plum/cherry/raspberry/strawberry; little vegetal aspect; a hint of Curry; a Bouquet Bomb (B squared); loving this -- smells like a Kit Kat covered in Raspberry jam; TASTE-this wine is Strawberry & Roses for days; heavy black licorice & dark chocolate on the back-end; really serious & refined, yet polished in a way to make it seem medium bodied, but loaded w/ fruit; brings enormous brightness & freshness of fruit; a massively exciting wine for the price point; very well made; absolutely polished & balanced; GV-88/89

Dark garrnet color. Aromatic licorice and eucalyptus. Dusty and a bit of vegetation in the mid palette

Wine had metallic, paint-like odor and an an unpleasant aftertaste. I did not enjoy this selection
