Less Celebrated France WIMPS #164 28th April 2023 (La Trompette, Chiswick): From magnum. Savoury, meaty, bright and youthful. A little bacon fat interest. Palate has good acidity, some pepper and spice. A tiny tannin prickle remains for me. Has held up very well and a great example of its terroir.

Less Celebrated France (WIMPS) (La Trompette, Chiswick, London): En magnum. Raspberries and forest floor on the nose where it is airy and getting towards tertiary, yet it seems still fruity on the palate although remaining savoury. Some spicy peppery notes and evidence of formerly grippy tannins on the finish. Best to drink these if you have them.
