Archambaud tasting dinner at ESK. Drank in Grassl cru. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, purplish ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of lifted aromatic red cherries, chalky earth, lifted stony minerality. Closes up intermittently. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), rounded medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red cherries, stony minerality, chalky earth. Long finish with structured feeling. Very good quality. A lot more lift and feels more balanced compared to the 2018 of this. Good persistence.
