Over three days in the glass. The wine comes from vines over 90 years old. It was matured 100% in Mosel fuder cask.
On the first day, a strong Sponti stinker came out of the bottle. I then decanted the wine and put it back in the fridge open.
On the two following days, the tone was more subtle, with a little stall still noticeable; the wine otherwise offers a restrained, very beautiful nose of yellow, ripe apples, a few citrus fruits and white flowers; a little rosemary and wet stone are also noticeable.
On the crystal-clear palate, the yellow, ripe fruit with a slate-like minerality initially pushes forward discreetly. In the middle, the wine has a deep substance with a light creaminess and a fine sweetness. The powerful, yet ripe and round acidity that follows corresponds with the creaminess and sweetness of the body in such a balanced way that I have rarely experienced in a Kabinett. The wine has a perfect inner balance and is very elegant and harmonious.
A great Kabinett with a great price-performance ratio! The wine is already nice to drink now, but can also be kept and matured for many years to come.

PnP, very good natural cork, 7,5% Alc., yellow color.
Nose: Clear sponti notes, a bit flintstone, behind yellow fruit.
Palate: Brilliant fine ripe acidity, lemon, tangerine with some peel, ultra clean. For a sweet Kabinet this tastes dry, the acidity is so brilliant that it buffers nearly all the sweetness. A fantastic mouthwatering drinking flow, nothing tyring, just the desire for the next sip, 94 pts with potential.

Obviously very young, the very high acidity dominates the fruit at the moment. Will improve further, but I doubt it will ever arrive MFW‘s 96 points. I was more impressed by a Dr. Hermann Ürziger Würzgarten Kabinett Alte Reben 2020 some weeks ago. 91+

Old vines in blue slate - 78 Öchsle.
Some reduction, lime, pear, white flowers on the nose
High acidity, some creaminess yet firm, salty.
Still primary - lovely, but hold.
