Trip to Burgundy; 6/7/2009-6/10/2009 (The Cote d'Or): Not a cheap bottle for its class, but I thought the wine had good quality. Nose showed toasty macadamias, musk and honeysuckle. Very fresh and pleasant on the palate, with flavours of ripe lemons, green apples, mineral and a touch of butter. The wine faded rather unfortunately after the mid-palate though, sinking into a weaker finish. Pity. That aside, I rather enjoyed it.

About £11 I think. Poor value. Mostly mineral nose with some floral undertones. A little acidic, no strong flavours emerging. Medium body and a reasonable finish but that finish doesn't actually deliver too much.
