  Pronounced but resolved lip-smacking tannins when first opened, matched by fruit which is still very fresh. Acidity is neutral. Tannins softened steadily over 24 hours. By the end of the bottle on day two, it had completed its journey from interest-wine to comfort wine. Very balanced, very nice wine, versatile with food. We had a slight chill on it.

  Spice and red cherries on the nose , young Barolo look alike, firm and on the young side but still welcoming enough. Good use of oak adds a polished edge here to the tannin and sort of worked well. 88
