A lovely dry white that paired wonderfully with hoisin glazed roast chicken, a spicy pasta casserole, and Szechuan green beans. It had wonderful acidity, and a prominent lees-driven character. However, I came for the Riesling! The Claire Valley variety, specifically. I can honestly say in a blind tasting I would not identify this as such. It was like a very elegant Chardonnay, without the distinctive petrol note that Riesling carries, and its citrus flavors. Other than that it really is quite nice!
