  • Tasted after swirling in my Eisch oxygenating glass various amounts of time before, during and after meal. This wine had virtually no nose beyond strong alcohol and a bit of berry. 50% grenache, 20% each syrah/mouvedre and 10% carignan. Tasted much like an under-extracted bourgeois Bordeaux, with a brief tanniny astringent finish. Food (teriyaki beef kebabs with stir fried rice and veggies) little help taming the weak beast. Still looking for another good Cairanne. T'ain't this one, especially at $16. Fine buy at $9 IMHO.
