  • Croatian orange wine from Istria: Malvasia Istriana. 13,5 % alcohol. Macerated for 15 - 25 days. Aged in 225 l oak barrels for 9 - 12 months.

Decanted three and a half hours prior to consumption and then stored in the decanter during the evening.

    Strong orange color.

Delicate aromas of ripe red apples, exotic spices, lemon, earth, ripe apricots and minerals. Powerful and fresh flavors of green apple, apricots, lime fruit, hazelnuts, earth, black tea and minerals.

Dry. Full body. Fresh acidity. Smooth tannins. Good balance. Very good structure. Some complexity. Pure.

Medium- finish with lime fruit and black tea.

A surprisingly fresh and clean orange wine. Stylistically close to a powerful white wine. Very enjoyable. On the negative side, there is not much of complexity and the finish could be longer. Performs best close to fridge temperature. Should last a couple of years in the cellar. Delicious. 91/100
