Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Appearance - clear, deep intensity. More purple but would say Ruby

Nose - clean, youthful, medium plus intensity, fruit, plums, blueberries, baking spices, you do get some of that funky green olive brine. Air had helped open this up.

Palate - air has helped. Very vibrant on palate. Medium plus intensity, finish is medium plus. Acidity is medium. Balanced. Tannins are medium. You get them the most after you swallow the wine. Around your gums. Alcohol feels integrated. Notes are fruit but more watery than you get on the nose. Some stemmy bitterness. Earthy. Leaves.

It’s an interesting wine that has shown better as it has gotten more air. It’s not a traditional cab franc and the wine makers are clearly trying for a more modern expression. It depends what you are looking for.
