Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 92.5 points

  • Method: universal glass; chilled; at tasting dinner (and it was wine #11, so my notes might not be the best)

    Nose: apricot, tangerine marmalade, light petrol, unidentified tertiary note(s)

    Palate: apricot, tangerine; finish of light ginger and mineral; medium- sweetness; medium- body; medium+ zesty acidity

    Overall thoughts: This was showing even better than I expected as it's still rather vibrant. Nice tertiary notes on the nose and maybe starting to creep in on the palate make this extra interesting. This is in a great spot, but I don't think there's a rush to drink this. Great wine!

  • 8.5 % abv. AP 13. Poured at 50° F. Positioned late in a meal cycle.
    Stunning bouquet. Maraschino; almond/pruneaux; savory einkornbrot;
    Great clarity of flavor rarely coincides with such intensity of fraise/piña and appetizing, racy, bitterness. That latter front reclines immediately into barn-cured green tea, rhubarb, lime glycerin, and lemon peel fruiting mushroom bodies. Intensely sour apple sugar. Broiled in decades of mint sunshine.
    ________
    24 hours later, it thrives. Broth twig sap; translucent red soil; pistachio; strawberry.
