This wine placed fourth out of a blind pinot noir tasting, we hosted last night. No blockbusters in the mix, A To Z 2008, placed 5th (which was surprising to me) and Cloudline '08 (placed 6th) both Oregon pn's. Some of the tasters didn't care for the Oregon funk so much, winner was a Bridlewood pn from Monterey. Anyhow getting to this wine, consistent with all previous notes, many people enjoyed the fruit/oak integration, and smooth tannins. Totally enjoyeable, an Argentinian take on pn, w/great influence from Michel Rolland, being a major plus.

Popped and vinturi'd tonight, watching the Grizzlies and Thunder duke it out in the NBA playoffs. Nose of dark fruits, this wine has morphed a bit since last tasted. I like the flavors here, blackberry and raspberry, but is really a hybrid of PN & syrah. Like the oak/fruit integration and the slight sweet casis/french oak flavor.

Popped and vinturi'd. This has changed quite a lot, since last tasted over a year ago. A Michel Rolland venture, so the quality is assured, Parker gave this a 90 in the Advocate...anyhow the pedigree is here. Nose of dark fruit, assorted berries...but no classic pinot earth/funk to speak of. This wine has evolved into a rich, smokey syrah like wine, full bodied w/blackberry flavors. Yummy and really enjoyable, Argentinas take on PN.
