  • By my taste, this was spot on. Smooth, cool California climate profile. Balanced across acidity, fruit, and oak with a med+ finish. I like it!

  • Fresh green herbs, ripe yellow peach, apricot, white flowers, corn and wet stone on the nose. Medium intensity of aromas. Palate adds fresh almonds and is driven by the stone fruit with some greenness on the background. Medium intensity of flavors. Some oak flavors emerge on the finish, notably smoke and toasted wood.

Medium body with medium acid. Medium length of finish. Pretty complex. To my palate, a tad warmer and a tad oakier than "old world" Chardonnay but to the typical American's palate I imagine this is very much "old world". Anyway, I think it's still developing. It's not tight; but it is a tad muted, and I believe some bottle age will really increase the intensity of both flavors and aromas. Check back in 1-2 years.
