Brought to a $25 wine tasting with friends and was voted #1 for the evening among 13 bottles, most likely is the short decanting time for this wine to delivery a good nose and not too strong tannins, finsih is short though. Good value for the $$$.

Quite good, a lot of the classic Cab qualities but interesting that it came up quite short on the finish - Dark, full bodied with a nose of plum, cherry, dusty earth, spice and vanilla, nice balance, a touch simple, smooth, dry on the palate with an unusually short finish, good, but so many better wines in this category (87 Points).

A classy cab pours dark with aromas of cranberry, plumb, and black currant with a touch of spice, crushed cobblestone and toasted oak. Medium full body with gleaming tannins, defined acid, good use of oak. It's all blackberry and currant with hints of spice. There's a nice touch of earth to this. A lean yet bold style with enjoyable complexities. Not unlike a Thoroughbred of good pedigree. Decant this one.

Was at its prime after about 2 hours in the bottle. The 2006 Zuccardi Q had a purple/ dark ruby coloured core with a garnet rim. On the nose, it smells like an Australian shiraz at the beginning but after 2 hours in the bottle, it started to reveal typical aromas of Cabernet wine, really dark fruits, a hint of tobacco, cedar wood, green pepper and spice. On the palate, it is medium to full bodied, with concentrated dark fruits, a hint of dark chocolate and fresh acidity. There were still some sweet tannins. The finish was medium. Drink now or up to 5 years.

Rather simple, fair aromatics but a bit tannic, it was the 4th bottle of the night and perhaps we were tired and didn't paid much attention.
