  Nose: blackberry, black plum, blueberry, gingerbread, baking spice, violet, roasted meat, green bell pepper.
  
  Palate: a healthy burst of acidity at the beginning, the green bell pepper/herbalness sort of bothers me a bit, but also freshens up the fruit profile, which here has more to do with fresh raspberries and blackberries. A bit tarry, too.
  
  Overall I feel like the nose promises more than the palate delivers. However, a great alternative to a CdR style (fresher, too), and a good chance to try Negrette.
