The wine is massive. It’s hard to describe the scope of the material without getting a chance to taste it. I was able to taste it multiple times throughout the night and the amount of fruit and density has the weight of the earth in Atlas’ shoulders. Even with all that fruit there’s a steely drive on the backend that reminds you it’s still a corton Charlemagne and speaks to land it’s from. Everytime I took a sip I picked out something new coming out of the vibrancy of the wine. Fascinating wine with its best years ahead of it.

Crurated wine dinner with Charles and Theo @ Manhatta NYC. Wowza - this was Chevy-like in its purity and delineation but wrapped in a vortex of pure, unadulterated fruity goodness, and an assertive weight bestowed not by wood or human manipulation but by a vigneron who understands his ancestral land and the nature of the fruit it nourishes. Really hard to describe in words how good this was, other than it checks basically every box possible for me in a white burg. Might be the best white I’ve ever had.
