  • I've had earlier vintages once or twice before and remember them being on the nattier side.

This was decidedly more clean, just a whiff of VA on the nose and none on the palate.

Overall quite a lovely nose with black pepper and spice, as well as a bit of a sweet, carbonic character. Palate is on the richer side with good intensity and congruent with the nose, but leaning savoury. Acidity here is a little lower than I'd expected for PDA. Nice suave tannins.

A little less interesting than the others but pleasant and uncomplicated.

  • Hands down my favourite producer, not just of Pineau d’Aunis but of the Loire as well. Approachable, uncomplicated wines, made for people that don’t want to hear all the noise. Pale ruby in the glass, transparency of water almost. Beautiful nose of white pepper, raspberry, cherry, strawberry. Like a lovechild of Syrah and Pinot on the nose. Suuuuuper light body, only 10% abv. Fruit in focus, acidity moderate. Long, juicy finish. Such a lovely wine to drink all day while bathing in the sun.
