Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Needed something heavier and less citrus than a Sauvignon Blanc. But without too much oak or cloying bright follow-through like typical low cost California chardonnay. To serve with sautéed trout with classic caper sauce. A good bordeaux laced with semillion or a burgundy would of course have worked...

All this to say that the low priced La Motte worked very well at a much lower price. Great perfume and mouthfeel. Bright at the start and then flattens out well. Short finish and makes you wish it was a bit heavier at the end. But can't expect everything at that price point

Very satisfying. Will soon be buying a case for winter..
