Community Tasting Notes (7) Median Score: 92 points

  • What a way to end our evening. An extraordinary mélange of fruit: white cherry, crisp apple, lime, melon, pineapple, apricot and orange, for starters. River rock notes more than slate. Some salinity too, and a creamy texture, with good cut. I lost count trying to measure the length of the finish. Brilliant stuff, and should last for another decade+ with ease.

  • First bottle out of a case.
Bright and intense aromatics with beautiful purity; all with 7.5 % alcohol.
You only get this in a Riesling.
Luscious texture, coating mouthfeel and very good length.
The only thing missing, to my taste, is a little acidity to improve the focus and tension in the wine.
I don't expect it to improve from here but it should last without any problems at all.
I will drink the rest overthe next 10 years.

  • A tough cork, which eventually crumbled, but fortunately the wine was none the worse for wear. At first a touch muted and lacking in intensity, with air this became one of the best whites I can ever recall enjoying. More yellow than orange in color. The mélange of fruit notes could go on and on: white cherry, crisp apple, lime, melon, pineapple, apricot and orange, for starters. River rock notes more than slate (perhaps that comes with more bottle age). Some salinity too, and I thought I detected a touch of rye. A somewhat creamy texture, with good cut. I lost count of the length of the finish after two full minutes. A 'wow' wine for sure.

  • Profound wine.
Peach, apricot, ripe citrus, orange, grapefruit, wet rock, honey, pineapple, ripe melon, creamy.
Palate, medium+ sweetness, good acid, like nose, honey, peach, apricot, ripe apple, petrol, kerosene. Not as fresh as 15. Orange marmalade, rye bread.

  • Definitely on the sweet side, but with enough acidity to remain fresh. This is in a good spot right now and was quite enjoyable.
