still drinking well. I get the leather, still there several years on. Clean light fruity perhaps raspberry nose. Dark colour w long slow thin legs. A bit of burn and tannins initially which give way to Rather wet, short wafting finish. Chocolate, Kiwi, throughout.

Good red/black fruit, but maybe a bit over extracted. Oak was mostly integrated, but still a little heavy on the surface, giving something of a lacquer like texture at first. Overall, a decent Cab, but doesn't quite have the structure to back up the fruit. Could get a little better though as the fruit softens.

Traci opened this bottle to have a glass of wine after dinner - she wanted Cabernet, what can I say. Since this bottle was given to me by Tom Seaver for helping him ship all his wines, no harm in opening for a glass.
I took a small taste and it was a little too warm, showed a little oak and heat. Traci liked it better than me. Put a stopper back in, put in the fridge overnight and I tried a glass on day 2. Still just a touch of heat but showing much better with notes of red currant, cassis, and a little cedar. The longer it stayed in the glass the more heat and a little underbrush showed. Balance was pretty good but finish was just a little on the short side. All in all a very good wine but falls short of being "outstanding 90-95pt territory". One thing to keep in mind with this wine in regards to aging is it does come from very young vine fruit....

BLACK CHERRIES, BLACKBERRIES, AND HINTS OF LEATHER AND EARTHINESS. NICE COMPLEXITY AND MEDIUM LENGTH FINISH.
