Organic blend of malbec & muscat de Hambourg. Upon opening, the muscat is really dominant on the nose but as it opens, it's the malbec that takes the driver's seat. The muscat is quite noticeable on the palate but compliments the malbec so nicely that I really can't fault it. (I should mention that I am not usually a fan of muscat but in this particular blend, it is really interesting and well-done). This is definitely a vin de soif by definition and would be absolutely awesome for any apéro.
APPEARANCE: Color & intensity: medium salmon
NOSE: Intensity: medium (+) Aromas: pink grapefruit, raspberry, dried apricot, mandarin orange peel, orange blossom, hint of quince Development: developing
PALATE: Sweetness: dry Acidity: medium (+) Alcohol: medium Body: medium Mousse: delicate Intensity: medium (+) Flavors: kumquat, orange blossom, mandarin orange peel, crushed stone, melon skin, wild strawberry, hints of bread dough and salt Finish: medium (+)
CONCLUSIONS: Quality level: very good Potential for ageing: can drink now, but has potential for some further ageing Other observations: slightly cloudy
