(Eric Texier Côtes du Rhône Villages St. Gervais Vieilles Vignes Les Cadinères) Tart plum and berry nose; tart berry, black fruit, tar and graphite palate; medium finish
(Eric Texier Cotes-du-Rhone Villages St. Gervais Vieilles Vignes Cadinnières) This is a killer wine. Wild berry almost confit-like aromas that follow through on the palate with great acids. Wonderful fruit throughout but still has a spine. The tannins are perfectly ripe. The palate was light but very complex with all different mineral components intermingled with the fruit. Eric said that this "light and complex" flavor profile is typical of St. Gervais.

A beautiful bottle. Prime time. Opened a little stanky and needed a bit of air, but it was fine within about a half hour.

An hour or two in the decanter really helped. Lovely

Fully mature and a bit funky, in a lactic way. Time to tuck into these.
