Wonderful dark red color with purple edges. I get loads of plum on the nose with hints of tobacco and vanilla. Dark fruit with a little strawberry combine with med/soft tannins is what I pick up on the palate. A tiny bit of chocolate on the finish as well. Very balanced with some good acidity. Great buy at $12.

Deep ruby rim with a black center. Modern-styled wine with a lot of black fruit, dry spice and toasty oak on the nose. Grippy tannins on the palate, good presence and medium to full bodied. I'd give it a few years to show at its best.

The Newburyport Wine Group--Malbecs in May (Jeremy & Angela's Deck, Newburyport, MA): Purple opaque. Nice nose of blackberries, blueberries with a hint of vanilla. Similar on the palate with some licorice, spice and heat. Softer tannins. My #3. Tasted blind.
