We did a blind testing of 10 wines, 9 friends. We all voted for our favorite. Unfortunately, my wine did not get a vote, even from me. Substantially different taste, flavor, aroma, basically, everything. Maybe the wines we had were bigger or maybe this one is past it's prime or at a low point. Regardless, I was sad that even I didn't vote for it or recognize it.

Been a couple years since having a bottle of this wine in San Fran at dinner with clients, the Cherry has muted down quite a bit and a lot of secondary characteristics are emerging. Very good bottle, I think it is going to continue to gain complexity as it gets some air. Open next bottle somewhere in 2 years or so.

The last wine we've had thus far from T-Vine. And yet again, they come through. For a merlot, it was actually very rich and matched our grilled steaks beautifully. The Red Blend and the Zin are still my favorites. But this merlot does not disappoint. It almost didn't make sense. To me, a Zin fan, this was right up there with the power and enjoyment of full flavor. When I was down to my last glass, I found myself drinking slower to make it last...and that was an even bigger reward because it just kept growing. T-vine will be getting a call from me to join their wine club. Can't wait to try their other wines.

Decanted for an hour and it was singing. Nice concentration of dark fruit, toasty mocha, balanced. In a really good place.
