Soft, a bit unfocused. Lacks complexity or much finesse, but a nice easy drinking cab franc and a decent value. Works for my very fine home-made pizza...

Great! My only complaint is that the nose is a little muted. Otherwise, this is drinking exceptionally well right now. The small amount of cab sauvignon added to the cab franc makes for a fuller, heavier mouthfeel and more intense dark cherry than I would have expected from a straight cab franc.

Nose is pleasantly earthy with leather notes and hints of fresh seaside brine
Color was clear, with some slight bricking on the edges
Taste was a little tannic and somewhat tart, but with a full fruit balance and good body - nice food wine, could see pairing this with a wide array of cuisines
Full mouth finish with huckleberry and oak tannins as the dominant flavors
It's too bad this was my last bottle of this vintage, as it is aging well. Bottles I drank a year ago were very good, but not quite with the complexities this bottle has developed over the last 12 months. I still think I should have held this for at least another 6 months to a year (or more).....guess I'll never know...

Tasty. Very nice cab franc with little overt greens or herbs. Definitely a WA CF gem.
