Purple ruby color. Unmistakable Cabernet nose. Extremely balanced wine, but not much power, very nuanced and finessed. No sediment, but long and balanced finish. Has the the delicious factor. Should not be kept much more.

Very well balanced. Burst of green pepper smell and flavors. Not very sharp on acidity but still very fine wine. Adequate tannins but should not be kept much longer, I can see the decline is going to start soon.

A beautiful bottle, deep garnet color, nice nose, very substantial mouth-feel, well-integrated tannins, nice finish. An excellent effort from Tishbi. 4.5/5 stars.

Tishbi normally is not on my list of Israeli wines to seek out. A friend of mine challenged me and opened this wine. 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 10% Cabernet France all harvested from Sde Boker. Opening fruity and acidic, mellowing down to show elegant dark red fruits, on a background of fine (slightly sweet) tannins, more subtle toasted oak and vanilla creeping in as the wine opens up in the glass, leading to a long lingering finish with a surprise: at first I thought I detected some traces of left-behind dish washing soap in the glass, but over time it turns out to be an interesting and subtle twist of dried flowers and garden herbs. Made in very small quantities (this bottled was numbered around 1300). An interesting wine to follow: obviously very high quality grapes, the wine developing very nicely in the glass, this could be a wine that will improve even more over the years to come.

It's past it's prime but still quite delicious once you get past the nose being a bit harsh and off-putting
