Decanted for an hour. More black fruits than the last bottle, which was mostly cherries and raspberries. Very soft and silky with good structure. Mostly blackberries, vanilla, and mushrooms, and kinda super-Beaujolais flavors (borrowed the concept from AMM3RD). Very high acidity and freshness, which gives it a Beaujolais sense.

Loads of cherry and raspberry flavors and aromas. There was nothing unpleasant about this wine, but I expected more for the price. However, this was a PnP event, so I don't think that my experience was truly representative. I'll definitely decant the next bottle.

This took 30mins in the glass to really open up. Color is Medium with a soft nose of red fruit. Flavor profile is almost like a Moulin-à-Vent on Steroids. Cranberry and sour red fruit galore. Becoming expansive on the palate with a silky mouth feel that developed over two hours. Very primary in flavors (wishing for a little more), but the balance and depth are very nice. Drink over the next 3-5 years...AMM

Volnay Elegance (The Universal @ Duxton): Candy, some light tar notes, and black cherries. All in all, very muted nose. Dense packed cherries and berry skins. Simple and straightforward. Singular in expression yet thick on the tannins...almost chewy. After realising what it was, I think we should have decanted it because it really has shut down.

Decent fruit and freshness. Good QPR, but little more. Improved over an hour and was better with food. Probably would not buy again...AM
