An aromatic nose of lemon meringue, touch of toast, and lemon zest. Rich full bodied, bright acidity, medium alcohol 13% abv, soft lingering finish, and for sure food friendly. The palate has more flavors of lemon and a touch of creaminess. Though I don't think this wine sees any malolactic fermentation I do believe there is some aging on the fine lees which would explain the rich creamy mouth feel. A great choice for Burgundy fans! 4/5

Dinner at Jardiniere; 3/20/2008-3/21/2008 (San Francisco, California): This was paired with Potato Gnocchi with Perigold truffles over creme fraiche. A round wine for being so young. Good purity. Not as much fruit as expected but I detected apple, citrus and hazelnut. Some oak treatment here. I was not thrilled with this pairing but then this is oaked Chardonnay so what do you expect. 87 points.
