Opened 1 hour before pouring. Nose of ripe red fruit, baking spice. Raspberries, vanilla, a little sweetness, and a little spice on the palate. Continued to improve with time.

Decanted 2 hours and the nose was full red/blue fruit with slight astringency but in a good way. On the palate this wine did not dissapoint. Deep red fruit, mouthcoating, medium body with a medium long finish.

Decanted 2 hours. No sediment. Medium-dark with a slightly dusty edge. Ripe fruit and savory elements are featured in the nose with dried sage, thyme, licorice and smoke. Soft and lusciously textured flavors offer powdered baker's chocolate, cooked down black plum and licorice. Perhaps a tad hot, the tannins are ripe and powdery. There is enough acidity to carry the ripe and viscous flavors toward a long, deep finish. Drink now through 2015.

Firm tannin in this wine. Classic blueberry fruit doused in lots of milk chocolate. Big weighty wine at 15.4% alcohol - some nice heat but it mostly comes across in viscosity. Solid wine. Didn't blow me away but it was jammy and really enjoyable with the ramen believe it or not.
