Started as very savory, unami driven. Turned into a very spice dominant profile, spice box, cedar flavor. Didn’t offer much variance after the first hour. Medium plus acid, medium tannin left but dry tannin.

Very intriguing and beautiful nose of red fruit, cherries, savory, and a cardamom/spice note. The nose is very deep and new flavors kept coming out over the course of the night. Still a good amount of tannins on the palate with lovely acidity, red cherries, and forest notes. It has good weight, but feels light on its feet. Long finish. Really awesome wine with a lovely, unique character! Wish this was still obtainable...

Served blind. Dark ruby with brighter rims. A developed nose. Savoury with a bit of funk. Dark and sour cherries. Serious acidity. Grip. Long finish. An utter delight in the after taste. What fruit. And a big suprise when unveiled as it was drinking so nicely and approachable for a bug vintage. One of the best wines I tried in 2019. Shared by TL to the S4 group

Fascinating nose typical of Roch.
A little too young in the palate, and will benefit greatly from 3-5 years of cellaring.
