Dark broodingly red. The nose jumps from the glass as the wine is poured with cherries and dark ripe fruit. The palate offers up spice and oak with big layers of cherry flavors. The 14.6% alc. is hidden as the wine was served at cellar temperature. It finishes clean and rich. This is probably the best Sangiovese I have had from California and a wine I wish I had a few more bottles of.
