  A beautiful initially restrained burgundy which opened up and blossomed after an hour. Violets and raspberry on the nose with a hint of forest floor. The palate was structured with plenty of fruit and vanilla balanced with good acidity and fine tannins. Probably just going over its best but still a delight !

  Medium clear ruby in the glass. Barely any bricking despite it's age.
  
  Reserved nose with red plums, black cherry, tons of earth, leather and dried leaves. Rustic, wild yet refined. Showing surprisingly youthful.
  
  Medium+ acid, medium body, medium+ tannin, medium alcohol, complex, super long finish. Really well structured; this particular bottle is showing even younger than my last one consumed two years ago. Holding really strong. Tannins are as tough as nails, the wine really benefits from ample time exposed to air. I think if you've stored this right it has another 5 years easily. Incredible value.

At peak, and if stored in proper conditions, probably won't budge for a few years. Decent value, very well made but in no way extra-ordinary.
