  • Beautiful wine (notes from memory). I was a little worried it would be on the decline, but not even close. Most S.B. viognier would be flat at this age, but this was still going strong, a testament to both Morgan and Yves' skill. It drank like a perfect blend of the best of a central coast and a rhone. Golden yellow color that clung to the glass. Very velvety mouthfeel. The nose was more muted than I expect it was several years ago, but still had a good dose of that floral and honey charm of viognier. Flavor profile was tropical fruits (pineapple, mango, kiwi) with very well integrated oak (vanilla, buttered toast). Oak is always a fine line to walk with viognier for me, but they did it masterfully. A truly great experience ... i hope they keep making this gem.

  • Served blind at an offline. Very light in color with some silver. Dark sour nose of fresh green spinach. Light bright fruit with citrus notes and light on the body. As it opened in the glass it fleshed out more go become a nice drinker. Wine number two of the flight for me. Good.
