Absolutely humming at 15 years of age. There’s some chocolatey development and plenty of tobacco leaf to the aroma. It has a core of red berry and black cherry and is underpinned by chewy tannins. The finish is quite earthy and very fresh.

Deep ruby core, medium pale ruby rim. Dark cherry nose, a bit "muddy", vanilla, spice. Palate is medium/full bodied, with spicy dark cherries, plum, fruit is not overly distinguished or expressive. Nice, bright acidity but tannins a touch firm on the medium length finish. Better than the last bottle but still not great - not enough elegance or true Sangiovese character here for me.

Decanted 2 hours. Dark opaque color, sour cherrie on the nose and palate. The decante helped compared to the first bottle, however it seems like the wine is not balanced or integrated.
