nose - vegetable floral. Gary was exactly right, heavy on the vegetables and dirt. Good stuff
Taste - again heavy on the vegetables, especially green pepper. Very little fruit component - I hate to be unoriginal and just echo Gary V., but he was dead on. I really enjoyed this wine. Hell, I paid under $10 for this bottle! What an absolute steal!

(J Mourat Fiefs Vendeens Collection Red) #2; COLOR-light (mostly Pinot Noir); NOSE-bell & jalapeno peppers, a vegetable stand (cucumber, asparagus, celery, brussel sprout, cabbage & lots of peppers); and some really fertile dirt; some floral aspect; TASTE-very dry; a very sour cranberry component, but then heavy levels of veggies (lettuce, green peppers); a medium bodied wine; heavier and more intense than I expected; good mid-palate; nice transition; long finish for a $10 bottle; nice entry into an Old World wine; this is a food wine (great w/ a Philly Cheese Steak w/ peppers & onions); I really like this; real wine w/ a real focus and very well made, but not for everyone's palate; GV-88
