Delicious bourgogne; plenty of juicy black cherry fruit riddled with notes of menthol and spice; well balanced with a silky texture. Not at all green and with ample stuffing to continue to develop over the next few years. Good stuff.

Really a fine bottle of bourgogne. Not green. Not particularly ripe, but spicy pinot fruit in a delicate frame. I like this. My discrete CT scale: 95-extraordinary; 90-very good; 85-good; 80-fair; 75-poor

This is why I keep looking for 2004s. When the greenies are not there, the elegance is stunning. Light to medium bodied. Violets and cherries on the palate - nice length - a tad watery at the end, but overall this is a great bourgogne for the money. It paired extremely well with the grilled salmon.

Very solid stuff. Would surprise lots of people given the level and the vintage. Ripe but savory with plushness set on a nicely austere, subtle frame. Tasty now (and this is the first I have delved into of the 6 I was able to buy) but I think a couple more years will bring a greater sense of harmony to the structure. Good stuff for sure though.
