  • Had my 2nd bottle of this after it had had some time to settle in the wine cellar and it was quite pleasant - much better than the first bottle I tasted. Light yet earthy flavours with some wood on the palate but actually quite pleasant - notes of berries. Some tannins but in perspective - a nice contrast to the fruit driven wines that seem so prevalent these days. Tasted a few weeks ago (see tasting note below) and this time the wine was much better. Definately a wine for food and a good example of medium bodied, lower price Bordeaux. Overall good - just needs time to settle.

  • A lot of tannins and a woody taste that never really went away. Decanted this and let it breathe for 3-4 hours but didn't really make much difference. I thought it just might be a bit young, but it was actually just a very tannic wine with not a lot to back it up. Don't bother - its not going to get any better.
