  Still one of my favorite wines. Great structure, good balance of tannins and fruit, not too heavy, not too much oak.. dry with good fruit.. great example of a classic Rutherford Bench cab.

  Rubicon is one of my favorites, but they have not been able to maintain consistency in my opinion. This is certainly a good wine, and I rated it as , such,but for the price, there are much better wines out there. This 2001 was a little thin, not as big a blend as I remember. The 97's were stunning, one of the best wines out there but I'm not sure I'd trust a 97 anymore since all the 97's I've been trying lately have turned into a shell of their former selves.
