  • Found this half bottle deep in my cellar, where is was forgotten for many years. Was not in my Cellar Tracker database. Color is golden brownish, so I assumed it might be oxidized and dead. Cork was crumbly, fell apart on the puller. The wine was a complete surprise, somewhat reminiscent of Passito di Pantelleria by Salvatore Murana. Gorgeous smell of honey, pineapple, a mouthful of sweet-sour balance, creaminess, spices, gluehwein taste, loooooong! Had some hard spice cookies from Basel with it ("Basel-Leckerli") , a perfect combination. Too bad this was my only bottle! Highly recommended, if you happen to find one, go for it!
