  • This last bottle I had actually quite good. Still dark and somewhat PS like. Good aged CS flavors though without the reduction of my previous bottle.

  • Hmmm.... Older Napa Cabernet Sauvignon made by a Santa Cruz Mts. Producer. No other ratings here so let's give it a try! Black color in the glass after 26 years in the bottle. Seemed sort of like Petite Sirah in that respect... At first super stinky an sour on the nose as if it was corked or had some sort of bacterial flaw. Cork it up an let it sit for a day. Second night it has opened into a still somewhat stinky but approachable monster of a wine with notes of Anise, Camphor and Dill. Strong tannins with a short, PS like finish.

Truth is, this was the wine which was served at my wedding (also at Thomas Fogarty Winery) way back when. We probably went through six or seven cases of the wine back then and it was certainly a crowd pleaser. Fun times long ago.... No CT price listed but post divorce this wine probably cost somewhere north of $35K!
