Purchased this at the winery in 2000. The Ferrata is a dark inky red wine. It retails for about $56 here if you can find it (I have never seen it here) but sold for $20 at the winery. As mentioned by Otis, it is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cab Franc and there is only about 700 cases made. It had an earthy aroma filled with minerals and herbs. It was full bodied with dry tannins and a long finish. The wine did fill out in the 4 hours it decaanted. However, all in all it was a bit austere and could have been more expresive to take it to the next level. A very nice wine though. 89-90 points.
