Christmas Cabs and Syrahs (Farpointe Cellar): The nose had spice and red fruit, some leather, and a peppery finish. The palate was soft and fruity, with strawberry, cherry, and blueberry. It also had leather, spice, pepper, and some licorice on the finish.

pretty decent, but a slightly rough aftertaste. good strong tanins especially for a syrah, pretty robust body, there is some fruityness, but the taste is a little generic. very little nose. Ashleigh and Viv say not bad but not great, viv says 6 out of ten.

good qpr @ five bucks...lighter syrah, but good fruit and acid...smooth finish...went well with the meal, as it wasn't overpowering
