{cork, 12%, A$10} This is about as neutral as wines get, I reckon. I presumed this is all Trebbiano, but I see from Carpineto’s website that the typical vintage has over 40% of other bits and pieces lying around the winery. Still, there’s nothing especially distinctive about the wine; the nose has a spirity half-apple half-oxidation aroma, the palate is soft, minimally acidic, a little greasy in texture, and the wine finishes quickly. I guess for ten bucks you wouldn’t complain that much, but there are better offerings even at that price.
